Story of my life. Between work, sleep, not sleeping, attempting to figure out my life, and hanging out with friends before we all part ways, I've been stretched pretty thin. Didn't manage to be thankful on paper for something every day, but I do thank my lucky stars that I am still here and fortunate enough to have people that care and to care about. :)
Update on my life: I didn't get the extension I applied for, so come January, I will no longer be an intern with Disney. The next step hasn't exactly been figured out yet...but luckily I have options...I mean I guess I'm lucky to have options. But I am TERRIBLE at making any decisions, especially when it is of large-life-impacting magnitude. AHHH!!!
Option 1: Stay in Florida
Probably my heart's top choice. I love it here, even if I don't work for Disney, I love Florida. I do have the option of going seasonal and working from there. I'd have to find another job, and roommates and stuff, but I think this is where I want to be.
Option 2: Move back to MO
Logically, at least at first glance, the smart choice. The "safe" choice. But since when do I play it safe and not take risks? Lower cost of living, prob a way to work, still would have to find a job, but have roommate options...but really I'd just view it as temporary to save up to come back here.
I know where ever I want to be, if I put my soul and energy into it, I can make it work. Really what it comes down to is that if I go back to MO I'm going to feel like a failure. And it is going to be freaking cold. Middle of winter. Today I'm wearing sleeves in Florida because it is in the high 50s and it's been 80s lately. In November. Why would I want to leave this?
Family? Maybe, but I feel maybe an extended visit in Jan...and then poppin back for a weekend in February? Maybe hitting up MSU for a couple days, but really, I don't see myself being back there for long before I'm itching to get out. Especially to STL. I left for college and barely came back then, why would I want to live there now?
I need some guidance...and to figure this out. Not like anyone really cares what I think really. Of course my friends want me to come back--duh. I'm where the party is. I really think I'm just going to have to be selfish and do what I want. And not care--cuz me going back would be too selfless. Y'all just wouldn't understand, and I can't explain it. But I think I found where I belong, and being here has changed me so much that going back would just be foreign.
AHHHHH. :(

Gracias
This is me, counting my blessings. Updates (mostly) daily. I'll try my hardest.
Nov 1- I am thankful for having a job. Plus side is that I LOVE IT! I dance and play and act like a kid--and that is my job. Woody and Jessie did the Bernie dance that night and it just made my day.
Nov 2- I am thankful for magic. Seeing other people's faces when something happens that made their day, just being there to witness it, I love it. I dont have to know your life story or what brings you to where you are, but knowing that someone is making lifelong memories is just fantastic to me.
Nov 3- I am thankful for smiling. I can, so I do. Its contagious you know. And with the teeth coming out, its going to hurt. But I'll smile on the inside, cuz I just can't help it :)
Nov 4- I am thankful for friends. Got my teeth out, and fortunately I had a friend to get me there and stay with me, and others who checked on me throughout the day. I didn't know these people before 5 months ago, and here they are looking after me like we've been friends forever.
Nov 5- I am thankful that I have a bed to sleep in and a roof over my head. Some people aren't as lucky.
Nov 6- I am thankful that I have a flexible job and was allowed to take all this time off work to recover. Even if I am starting to get cabin fever. I'm not in pain, on drugs, at work.
Nov 7- I am thankful

Fail.
Once again, it has taken my an ample amount of time to remember to update y'all on my life. On the bright side, this does mean that I am probably too preoccupied with enjoying my life, work, and the wonderful weather to remember to write much. Realistically, I am probably too tired and too busy texting my friends when I get home from work to want to write much. That and a lot of stuff that happens should just remain a secret. I wouldn't want to ruin anything for anyone. Not that anyone reads this shit anyway.
So I got my wisdom teeth out on Friday, and since then I have been sleeeeeeeeping and doing absolutely nothing. Today is my last full day off, of 5, then I work tomorrow night and then have two more days off....Lazy much? No really I just gave away shifts cuz my requests were denied and then didn't find any I wanted to pick up. I'm a park snob really, and didn't want to work mornings and I really only enjoy the park I work at. Haha. So I have a LOT of free time on my hands, most of which has been spent asleep, laying in bed, or talking about going back to bed.
I did, however, decide that I am going to try to be thankful for things this month. After all, it is close to Thanksgiving...and insert some cliche comment about being grateful for the blessings I have.

Pardon the pixie dust....
My apologies for taking two months to keep you updated on my life! Obviously things have been going pretty well here, since I obviously don't take the free time to blog...I spend a lot of that time at the pool and the parks with my friends---I'd say that is a good thing. Though it might disappoint you.
My job: ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Sometimes I get a little bit bored with it, but then something happens where I have a magical interaction with a guest, find something that is super fun to do, and that makes up for the guests who yell and throw fits in front of me, and me feeling like I'm Mother Gothel taking away all of the fun. (I worked with Rapunzel the other day--references will pop up from who I work with)
Something excitiing happens about every day. Here are a couple:
--Watching fireworks on the 4th with Cinderella behind the castle.
--Skipping through Fantasyland with Peter Pan
--Guests thinking that I am a character on my days off. I tell them I play Mindy the Character Attendant, but they don't believe me.
Honestly, I tend to forget a lot of them unless I write them that very day. New goal: trying better to do that!! I do have 5 more months to do so.
I'm just glad that I've made some good friends here for sure. I don't know a lot of people, but I'm mostly okay with having a solid group of people who actually like me and not for finding the party for the next weekend. Only part that sucks is that everyone I know works almost opposite schedules that I do, so I spend a lot of time ridin solo.

One step closer!!
My flight has been booked!!!
(Huge thank you goes out to Mom for getting my ticket for me as my graduation present)
I will be flying out at 6:15 am CST and landing in Orlando at 9:35 am EST on June 6! From there I will be taking a taxi to my next destination: DISNEY!!!
I haven't flown since 8th grade, and definitely can't remember if it was enjoyable. But this time I will be alone, fending for myself. Definitely have no idea where to go. So that in itself will be an adventure and probably hilarious. Also factor in that it will be probably 5 am and I am not a morning person. Maybe I will make a fun friend along the way. Fingers crossed for a hottie-tottie! =)
15- Days I have left until my flight!
5- Days until I go home!
Today in Springfield it is 81, feels like 84, cloudy and windy. Tonight chance for scattered strong storms. Tornado Watch also in effect all day.
At Disney World, it is 91 and sunny, with a very high pollen count. Tonight partly cloudy into tomorrow. Apparently a very high need to water plants. (Weather.com says so--what do I know?)
Figured out what day I am going back to the Chuck for some good ol fashioned home time. It will probably be better than what I did all last week--which was nothing all day, stay out late, recover next day, repeat. As far as plans for being at home go--I figure pool every day after they open, work out, clean my sister's room (since I know it will be a mess when I get there), and try to catch up with some people before I head out. This also means at least one day will be spent at Grandma's or she will probably cry.
In the mean time, I am going to enjoy my last few days here. This weekend was so much fun, so hopefully it keeps going thru the week. Got some packing to be done but basically 5 nights ahead of me that good times will be had by all. For now, I am going to enjoy the rest of the Cards-Royals game and hope that my Redbirds hold onto their lead.
Until next time!

Florida Bucket List
Since I will be spending six months (and maybe more later) in Florida, it only seems fitting that I make a list of things I should do and see while I am there. I am going to open it up to my Twitterverse and get some suggestions, especially since some people have probably gone and done more things there than I have.
So...here goes!
cross them off as I do them, and write about it!! =)
So...here goes!
- Visit St. Augustine. (Suggested by Mandy) Oldest city in Florida. About two hours away. (Might be making that up) Apparently small, beautiful, in that historic way.
- Harry Potter Premiere. Probably would be even better if I could make that happen in the Harry Potterland. (I know it's not Disney, but I freaking love Harry Potter)
- Not get left at a ride again. Yeah that happened when I was 12 and went with Girl Scouts. Oops.
- Beer Tour at Epcot. Apparently each country has a beer to try...(Suggested by Katie)
- (Whitney's suggestion, which is too inapprop to post--I'm putting it on here so you can use your imagination)
- Shamu (Becky's suggestion)... I never saw Free Willy, but I heard the original Shamu died, and now they just call the main orca "Shamu"....again, I could be making this up. Guess I will have to go to SeaWorld and find out.
- Airboat tour of Everglades. (Katie again) As long as I don't get eaten by crocodiles, and can find where Dexter found the bodies last season.
- Try Cuban-esque coffees. (Katie)
- DJ's Deck (Mom)
- Dixie Crossroads (Mom) --Is this a restaurant or square dancing?
- Hops (Mom) --she has a lotta restaurants for me to go to apparently.

21 days.
Weather today in Missouri: 58 and Sunny, tonight low 35
---Last I checked, it was mid-May, not March.
Weather in Orlando: 74 and Partly Cloudy, High 84.
I am sitting here with my roommate, talking about how we are both moving out of our apartment in the coming weeks, and how we are super stoked for a change. While we are going to miss our fave little boutique downtown, we both know that better shopping happens in bigger cities. (Hello, being broke!) I also say this because I am looking at clothes online, trying to find things to wear once I move, and also to match what Mom bought me over the weekend (loooove when family comes to town).
Going to get my hair cut tomorrow--have to get the butchered bangs fixed (tried to get them myself and FAILED), hair thinned out, and cleaned up. Gotta look good. Not that I don't anyway. Ha.
Today's plans:
- plasma
- try to sell back some clothes
- give to the DAV what Plato's doesn't take in addition to the huge box I already have
- decide what hair cut I want to get tomorrow
Going to be productive with my day! Peace!
